PocketProject

Support URL

Support for the planning workflow, not just the finished project.

PocketProject is a local-first iOS planning app built around a structured lifecycle: Idea, Candidate Project, and Project. This page is the public support destination for troubleshooting, issue intake, and privacy-related questions.

How to get help

GitHub Issues is the support path for the current build. It is the best place for bug reports, broken lifecycle flows, import or export problems, privacy questions, and feature requests.

What the app currently covers

  • Lifecycle planning from Idea to Candidate Project to Project
  • Research notes, sources, files, scope, recommendation, and resources
  • Tasks, subtasks, milestones, dependencies, schedule planning, and timeline views
  • Budget, time tracking, reminders, archive behavior, and reporting

Common questions

  • Where is data stored? The current version is local-first and stores workspace data on-device unless you explicitly export or share it.
  • Why can I not promote an item? Ideas and candidate projects must complete their promotion checklist before moving forward.
  • How do I restore archived records? Open the Archive area from the app or Workspace settings, then restore the archived item before editing it again.
  • What formats are supported? Workspace backup, Jira CSV, and MS Project XML import or export are currently supported.

Before filing an issue

  • Confirm notification permission and reminder settings if the issue involves reminders.
  • Restore archived records before trying to edit or promote them.
  • Add planned dates when troubleshooting dependency or timeline gaps.
  • Export a workspace backup before making major changes.

What to include in a request

  • What you were trying to do
  • Which lifecycle stage or screen the issue happened in
  • What you expected to happen and what happened instead
  • Whether the issue involved reminders, archive behavior, imports, exports, timeline planning, or promotion flows
