PocketProject is designed as a local-first planning app. In the current build, workspace data stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or import files yourself.
1. Information you create
PocketProject lets you create and manage planning information such as ideas, candidate projects, projects, tasks, milestones, research notes, sources, budget items, time entries, resources, schedule information, archived records, and attached files or external references that you choose to add.
2. How data is stored
The current version stores workspace data locally on your device using on-device app storage. Imported attachments can also be copied into the app's local file storage when you choose to import them.
PocketProject does not currently require account creation or cloud sync to use the app.
3. Notifications
PocketProject can request notification permission so it can schedule local reminders for due dates, blocked tasks, and milestone alerts. You can disable reminders inside the app and revoke notification permission through iOS Settings.
4. Imports, exports, and sharing
PocketProject can import files you choose, including workspace backups, Jira CSV files, and MS Project XML files. It can also export backups, status reports, Jira CSV files, and MS Project XML files when you ask it to.
If you use export or share features, the resulting file or shared content leaves the app because of your action.
5. Analytics and tracking
Based on the current build, PocketProject does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or account-based tracking services. It also does not appear to send workspace data to a remote server as part of the core planning flow.
6. Your choices
- You control what planning data you enter into the app.
- You choose whether to import files or keep external references.
- You can export backups and reports when you want to move or share your data.
- You can disable notifications through the app and iOS settings.
